Rooted in Passion

Cabin Plants was born out of a love for houseplants that started long before it was ever a business. Growing up, gardening was woven into everyday life — a gift from my grandparents that quietly shaped everything that followed.

Years later, living in a small flat, I found myself slowly building a plant collection, making my own concrete pots, and filling Instagram with more plant photos than anyone asked for. It was 2017 — those who were part of the plant parent social media boom will know exactly what I mean. What began as a modest mini cactus collection quietly grew into 100+ plants in a tiny flat, with propagation attempts, plenty of mistakes, and some genuinely rewarding successes along the way.

Watching my plants grow did wonders for my mental health. There's something about the way plants can completely transform the feeling of a room — and in my opinion, the more the better.

From Dream to Cabin

For years I talked about opening my own plant shop to anyone who would listen. At the same time, my career in interiors and furniture was teaching me a thing or two about retail, design, and running a showroom. Trade shows, interior schemes, the slow but steady rise of plants in interior design — it all added up.

A huge thank you to my Momentum family for the opportunities, for listening to the dreams I wasn't quite confident enough to chase yet, and for teaching me the ropes of retail.

After years of horticulture studies, allotment life, volunteering, and turning a brewery into my own personal garden — the opportunity came up to take on the portacabin at The Bridge Studios. It was an 'if not now, then when' moment.

And just like that, Cabin Plants was born.
